Ouse Valley CARES Community Pitch

Ouse Valley CARES aims to bring the whole community together to help the environment and create a more sustainable planet for future generations. Find out more about the Ouse Valley CARES Project here.

In partnership with the Community Fund and South Downs National Park Trust, awards will be given to projects aiming to reduce waste and carbon use, support wildlife, raise awareness and mitigate the effects of climate change.

Projects have been shortlisted and there are five projects bidding for a share of the funding pot.

You now have the opportunity to vote for the project you think should receive this funding.

The Clean-up Create Fund - Postponed

Launching soon – This fund is managed by South Downs National Park Trust on behalf of the Boltini Trust. The Boltini Litter Picking Fund will allocate small grants to those carrying out litter picking activities within the South Downs. The programme also involves engagement with schools in the West Sussex area through assembly presentations, workshops and an art competition.

The Volunteer Conservation Fund - Open

This fund is managed by the South Downs National Park Trust in partnership with the Volunteer Ranger Service. The Volunteer Conservation Fund will allocate approximately £5,000 annually to projects that enhance the National Park. The average grant per project in previous years has been £2,000.

The Sustainable Communities Fund - Open

This fund is managed by the South Downs National Park Trust in partnership with the South Downs National Park Authority and will allocate grants of up to £10,000 through its grant panel.
